Neir’s Tavern Is Heading to Washington—and Hoping for the Top Honor After Being Chosen As Top 100 Small Businesses In America by U.S. Chamber of Commerce

Woodhaven has something to celebrate. Neir’s Tavern has been selected for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s 2026 CO—100, earning recognition in the Enduring Businesses category.

For our neighborhood tavern, this is a moment to pause, feel proud, and thank the people who keep walking through the door

From Woodhaven to Washington

Owner Loycent Gordon will fly to Washington, D.C., to accept Neir’s recognition at a special ceremony during the October 19–21 CO—100 VIP Experience. He expects to join leaders from Google, American Express, Walmart Business, and other companies during the gathering.

There is more to come: ten category winners will receive $2,000 each, and one business will earn the CO—100 Top Business of the Year title and $25,000. Loycent hopes to bring that top title home to Woodhaven—his goal of becoming “#1 small business in America.”

A national honor can introduce a business to people who have never visited. But the story we want those people to discover begins with the community already here. It begins with our team, our regulars, and the neighbors who make Neir’s a place where people feel welcome.

Another milestone on our Road to 200

Our Road to 200 looks ahead to Neir’s bicentennial in 2029. That milestone gives us a reason to think about the memories we are making now and the experiences we want future neighbors to have here.

History becomes meaningful when people can participate in it. A meal with family, a conversation with a neighbor, or a gathering around a local cause adds another memory to a place people care about.

This recognition gives us a chance to share that idea with a wider audience. We hope it also encourages people to look around their own neighborhoods and notice the independent businesses that help give those places their character.
