Neir’s Tavern Ambassadors Club Crushes Small Business Month Challenge, Injecting Thousands of Dollars into Over Two Dozen Local Businesses

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

QUEENS, NEW YORK – June 2, 2026 – Proving that community advocacy is best measured by cash registers ringing, the Neir’s Tavern Ambassadors Club today announced the final results of its National Small Business Month Challenge. What began as a call to action at the start of May concluded with Ambassadors mobilizing to visit over two dozen independent small businesses, directly generating thousands of dollars in local economic impact.

Throughout May, civic-minded professionals and neighborhood locals hit the pavement wearing signature Neir’s Tavern gear and green "Road to 200" wristbands. The mission was straightforward but vital: intentionally redirect personal spending to independent storefronts and document the economic footprint in real time.

The campaign successfully generated documented commerce at 25 distinct small businesses, stretching across Queens, Brooklyn, Long Island, and upstate New York. The visual proof of this widespread economic activation has been captured in two newly released campaign collage. These collages showcase the Ambassadors executing their "Legacy Actions" at neighborhood staples, proving that small businesses can collectively lift each other up.

"We didn't want to just talk about supporting small businesses; we wanted to show up with our wallets," said Loycent Gordon, CEO of Neir’s Tavern. "Independent business ownership is a daily battle. By mobilizing our Ambassadors to intentionally spend thousands of dollars at over two dozen neighboring establishments, we turned passive awareness into a real economic lifeline. It’s a perfect execution of our 'Community Conquers All' philosophy."

The diverse list of small businesses patronized during the challenge highlights the deep community roots of the Ambassadors Club. Impacted businesses included hyperlocal Woodhaven mainstays like Schmidt's Candy, Sal’s Pizzeria, and Manor Deli, alongside wider regional favorites such as New Park Pizza in Howard Beach, Ateaz Café in Kew Gardens, and Taste Budz Deli in Jamaica. The reach even extended to historic partners like Beekman 1802 in Sharon Springs, NY.

By documenting these visits, the Ambassadors Club has established a blueprint for how historic landmarks and modern civic groups can drive tangible neighborhood commerce. As Neir's Tavern continues its march toward its historic 200th anniversary in 2029, the success of this challenge reinforces that no small business has to stand alone.
